First Impressions: Four Episodes In and I’m OBSESSED!

I’ll admit it. I stayed up and watched all four episodes of Make Me Tingle back-to-back, and I am absolutely obsessed.

The opposites-attract dynamic? Loving it. The chemistry? Already delivering. And the fact that this isn’t another typical, safe K-drama romance? I’m here for it.

Make Me Tingle is stepping into territory we don’t often see explored quite so openly in mainstream Korean romantic comedies, and I’m genuinely applauding the creators for daring to go there.

It might not be everyone’s cup of tea, and I can understand why some viewers might find the subject matter a little unexpected. But personally? I’m praising the willingness to push those familiar boundaries.

And can we talk about the cast?

Nam Ji-hyun and Kim Jae-young complement one another brilliantly. Their contrasting characters make the romantic tension even more entertaining, and I’m loving watching their relationship unfold.

I particularly want to give Kim Jae-young some appreciation here. I thought he was fantastic in Netflix’s Idol I, and seeing him take on such a contrasting character as Dokgo Dal has only strengthened my admiration for his acting abilities. There’s something so impressive about an actor who can make two completely different characters equally convincing.

And THAT kiss in episode three?!

I’m calling it now: a very strong contender for Pass The Pop’s Kiss of the Month! 💋

Four episodes in, I’m completely invested. I’m excited to see how these characters develop, where their relationship takes us and whether the series can maintain this momentum.

My only complaint?

I’ve now got to wait another six days for two more episodes, and I’m not feeling particularly patient about it.

Pass The Pop verdict so far: Absolutely worth watching. Just don’t blame me if you end up bingeing all four episodes in one sitting too.
